Several members of the McCall group will be giving presentations at the 2009 Midwest Astrochemistry Meeting at the University of Illinois on November 6-7, 2009.

The second annual Midwest Astrochemistry Meeting, (MWAM09), will take place this weekend, November 6-7, 2009 at the University of Illinois. Like last year, the McCall group will be well-represented at this meeting, giving a total of three presentations.

Second-year graduate student Carrie Kauffman will be presenting a poster during the Friday evening session about recent progress in testing the supersonic expansion discharge source being developed in our laboratory. At the same time, Jacob Stewart, also a second-year graduate student, will be giving a poster about the C60 project, detailing the progress made towards the acquisition of a high-resolution gas-phase vibrational spectrum of buckminsterfullerene. On Saturday, research scientist Holger Kreckel will be giving a talk about the latest developments with the SCRIBES instrument. We encourage you to join us at the meeting and hear about the progress being made in our laboratory!
